Ore Plated Cobblestone

To allow for building of the tackiest and gaudiest of things for low cost, an "Ore Plated Cobblestone" system has been introduced with Season 5.

When crafting a normal Ore block, such as an Iron block, Raw Gold block, or Diamond block, you will receive a non-placeable version of that item instead. This item can still be turned back into the original non-block material by putting it through a crafting table. In effect, these items have been repurposed into being an inventory consolidation item.

Ore Plated Cobblestone blocks are made when crafting together a Cobblestone or Cobbled Deepslate block with 1 item of the supported ores. A "Plated Cobblestone" version of that bulk ore block will be created and can be placed into the world. This block will behave like the regular block, allowing it to be used for activating Beacons or building structures, just at a much lower cost than usual.

Supported Ore Items

• Netherite Ingot
• Diamond
• Iron Ingot
• Gold Ingot
• Raw Gold

Copper is excluded because the amount of placeable blocks you could make from a singular cave would be ludicrous.
