Recommended Modpack

We recommend use of our official Modpack to ensure all features work properly in-game. You're welcome to add your own mods to this Modpack as desired, as long as the mods abide by our rules on fair mod use.

You can get the Modpack here and install/launch it with the Modrinth App. It's pretty to install.

Installation Instructions

1. Install the Modrinth app on your computer.
2. Search for "SMPOnline Season 5" in the Modpack browser.
3. Install the modpack created by codeHusky. Make sure to install the latest 1.21.11 version.
4. DO NOT mess with any of the options available in the Modpack menu unless you know what you're doing.
   • THIS INCLUDES ENABLING ANY DISABLED MODS. DO NOT DO THIS!
5. (Optional) Adjust your Memory settings to be 4 GB or higher
   • Click the settings cog in the bottom left of the app
   • Go to "Default instance options"
   • Change "Memory Allocated" to at least 4000 MB
6. Click "Play," wait for the game to launch, and then join SMPOnline. smponline.net

Troubleshooting

1. Stop clicking "Update" whenever you see Update available.
2. Do not randomly enable mods that are disabled in the modpack. They are disabled for a reason by default.
3. Reinstall the modpack, as you've likely screwed it up.
4. If you're having issues connecting, try changing your computer's DNS servers to Google's DNS servers. Google can tell you how on your OS.
5. Redo everything and follow the instructions above precisely.

Update Instructions

If your current Modpack is on an old version (1.21.4 for example): REINSTALL IT!

If your current Modpack is on the same version as the new version: You can probably safely update your modpack.

1. Select the settings cog/gear while viewing your modpack installation
2. Click the "Installation" tab
3. Click "Change version"
4. Select the new version in the list (If it doesn't appear, you should reinstall instead of doing this!)
5. Click "Update to <blah blah blah>" button on the bottom

This should update your pack. If you encounter any issues in this process, please REINSTALL THE PACK before asking for support. It's likely an incompatibility. Feel free to resolve this yourself if you know how.

Using the Modpack without the Modrinth App is discouraged as it's only been tested with the Modrinth App. If you run into trouble, try reinstalling everything through the Modrinth App and try again.
