Subscription Linking
This is a troubleshooting guide. For more info on initial server setup, review the documentation here.
I'm a YouTube Member and can't figure out the link process
- Link your YouTube account to your Discord account. Follow this guide from Discord on how to do that.
- Make sure you're in the CallMeCarson Discord server - you need to be for us to detect your membership.
- Wait until your Membership syncs with the Discord. You should get a role that says you're a YouTube member.
- You can check this by sending a message somewhere and clicking on your profile picture. You can see your roles at the bottom of this pop-up. If you're still not sure, you should be able to send a message in #sub-chat if you're connected.
- Try to login to the CallMeCarson Website with your Discord account. If it doesn't work, try again in a few minutes. Our linking solution only checks subscription status through Discord every few minutes.
- If it's been at least 10 minutes and you still can't login, verify you're logged into Discord in your browser on the right account. If you are, make a ticket asking for assistance.
- Once logged in, you should be on a page that says "Welcome to the Sub Zone." There will be a blue box below that with text about linking Minecraft. Click the "Link Minecraft" button.
- You should now be on a page titled "Link Minecraft." Type your Minecraft: Java Edition username into the "Change Username" form, then click "Update MC Account."
- If you get an error, read through it and do your best to understand it. If there's no way you can see to resolve it yourself after thoroughly reading through the error and doing your best, make a ticket for assistance.
- If your link succeeds, connect to the Minecraft server.
- If you don't appear to be subscribed, please wait at least 2 minutes for your subscription to connect. If it still isn't syncing after a few minutes, make a ticket for help.
I subbed but I'm still a trial player
- Make sure you've logged into the website with your subscription. If you're already logged in, log out and then log back in.
- Verify you've linked your Minecraft Java Edition account to your subscription on the website.
- Ensure you're joining the Minecraft server on the correct account by sending a message in chat and checking your username.
- Allow up to 5 minutes for your subscription status to update in game, or try relogging.
- Contact staff for help if your sub's still not working after following these steps.
The server shows I'm in hardcore but I'm subbed in game
Disconnect and reconnect to the server. This should fix it - the hardcore hearts are client side only in this situation and would not result in you becoming banned.
I subscribed at a higher tier than what shows in-game
- Try running
/upgrade
in-game. This will mark your subscription to be refreshed on the next cycle. - Wait up to 5 minutes for your link to be updated, though usually it's much quicker than this.
- If your subscription still has not been updated, ensure your account is linked to the correct Twitch or YouTube account by logging into the website with the corresponding account and verifying your Minecraft account is linked.
- Contact staff for assistance if the prior tips did not resolve your problem.
I'm linked on a different Twitch/YT account than my current sub
- Old account has an EXPIRED subscription
- In Minecraft, in the Direct Connect menu, connect to the server with IP
unlink.callmecarson.live
. - You will be shown a message indicating that your sub has been removed.
- Complete the normal linking process with your currently subscribed Twitch or YouTube account.
- In Minecraft, in the Direct Connect menu, connect to the server with IP
- Old account has an ACTIVE subscription
- Wait for the sub to expire.
- If you can, log into your old account on the website and link to a random Minecraft username.
- If you no longer have access to your old account and paid for higher tier benefits than your old sub has, contact staff and we can manually unlink your old account.
- If you've been sent here through a ticket you made, let staff know this is your situation and we can handle it.
I've renamed my Minecraft account, how do I relink?
You should not have to relink your Minecraft account if you change your username. Our server tracks subscriptions based on a special ID that represents your Minecraft account, not by your username. If you're legitimately having issues connecting after changing your username, ensure you're connecting with the right Minecraft account. If you're sure you are, you should contact Mojang for assistance.
